Finally cracking down on scamming would also be nice. It really adds nothing to your game but contempt for it. Who really cares about the degenerates that make your game ugly? Or will it cost you too much money to police it? people like you are what's wrong with the eve community. |

This ridiculous comparison again. Killing someones virtual character in a video game, you aren't really killing them. When you steal people required mission items with the sole intent to cause them anguish, or scam them in a video game, you are really griefing and scamming them. Think before you post. I've scammed people in EVE, therefore I must be a scammer in real life. That is clearly just another ridiculous and nonsensical statement. You probably aren't smart enough to scam IRL but you likely would if you could. Haven't you embarrassed yourself enough in this thread? Nice personal attack there. You break the rules of the EVE Online Forums, therefore you must be a rule breaker in real life. i don't think criminals should be playing eve. he should be banned. |

Priestess Lin wrote:CCP must figure it will cost them more money than they are losing by choosing not to police scamming. Maybe they are right, but it certainly makes their game ugly. source that scamming costs ccp money. otherwise we'll have to declare that you're full of ****.
also, being able to scam in eve is something other games don't have and that uniqueness makes eve very attractive. |

It likely costs them money because people hear about that crap like that and don't even want to give EVE a chance besides being an overall disgusting thing to see in chat constantly. What kind of game company is so lazy that they don't even police scamming in their game? Is scamming and sociopathic behavior supposed to be part of the appeal? See my OP about how this game attracts degenerates.
fun fact: when the first corp theft happened after a short while player numbers were up not down despite people stamping feet and threatening to quit. underhand activities in eve are good for the game's overall health, the game markets itself on that stuff.
you haven't got a clue what you're talking about. |

Some guy said he'll pay lots of interest if people gave him money. People started to give him money. More people kept giving him money, because he kept paying interest. More and more people kept giving him money. He took it all and ran.
According to CCP Hellmar, 500 players quitted the game, because CCP refused to step in as it was their own decision to put trust into this.
5000 players joined the game, because nowhere else could this happen. Realism attracts players.
Facts beat your disconnected opinions.
glad i'm not the only one who remembers that story. |

Facts beat your disconnected opinions. are you sure it wasn't over 9000? sounds really believable. and even it its true, it just reinforces my point about CCP being greedy and attracting even the scum bags. if you don't believe it, go and check out the 10 year anniversary fanfest videos, where he told the story.
if your delicate sensibilities are hurt because the devs aren't interested in wrapping you in cotton wool, i suggest you go and find a game that'll treat you in the insulting and child like manner that you wish to be treated in. |
